To make a cloud balloon garland you will need:
- white balloons (I used 45 but you can use more)
- fishing line
- sewing needle
- balloon pump (optional if you are willing to blow them up)
And now the steps to making a kickass balloon cloud for the unicorn party backdrop:
- Blow up the balloons to be different sizes (I found 1 breathe, 2 breathes, and 3 breathes were the perfect sizes – if you’re blowing them up without a balloon pump).
- Unroll a long piece of fishing line, 5 feet long is what I used, and tie a knot at one end.
- Tie the unknotted fishing line end to the sewing needle and pierce it through the bottom of the balloon. Alternating balloon sizes and string them all along on the fishing line.
- Knot the other end of the fishing line and hang with your DIY rainbow streamer backdrop.
